Keep in mind that most of the pieces from the Dept. 56 Harry Potter are smaller than their standard 'villages' such as the Snow Village or Dicken's Village. They are also made of resin, not porcelain. That said, their attention to detail is second to none. The pieces are lovely especially when lit. The windows are also plastic however for their large pieces they include extra 'windows' in case of loss or breakage. The windows look cheesy in the box but the items are all gorgeous on display. This piece is part of a large three piece set that makes Hogwarts School. They are much bigger than the other buildings of the series. They look great on their own so you don't necessarily need all three. I have the two largest and don't have the 'Owlrey.' If you have to pick one I would just choose the Great Hall.
